4th - 11th November 2017 This November RTYC are hosting their second Autumn regatta open to all Junior / Youth classes. So no matter if you sail a Tera, Topper, Quba, Laser 4.7, Topaz Uno, Feva, Cadet, 29er, Aero, RS200 or any other class of junior boat you welcome to join in two days of sailing in the wonderful setting of Torbay. There will be food provided each day after sailing for the sailors.

15 boats attended the Phantom Open at Bowmoor SC on the 14/10/17, 10 visitors and 5 from Bowmoor. It was an overcast day with winds oscillating between 5 and 10 mph with plenty of direction changes. All 3 races got away first time and in Race 1, Olly Hopkins (Bowmoor) was first to the windward mark followed by Jim Hopton (Shustoke) and Dean Griffiths (Bowmoor). It was a close tussle at the front but Jim dropped back when he infringed at the windward mark and had to do a 720.
Restronguet hosted 12 sailors from around Cornwall for the Deep South Championships over the weekend of 30 Sep – 1 Oct. The forecast had been showing a lovely 12-15 knots SW breeze, perfect conditions for sailing in Falmouth Bay; but, as the weekend approached the storm clouds mustered. Race Officer Andy Black set the usual course but with a short beat to the Bandstand before heading for the Avon buoy, Denny Isle, Newcombe buoy and back to the finish. Approx 12 miles in a straight line but longer given the return leg was a beat. Competitors choose their own start time aiming to round of the rocky outcrop at high water.
