Restronguet Sailing Club will Host the 2017 Gul Mirror World Championships
Restronguet Sailing Club in Cornwall is busy gearing up to host the 2017 Gul Mirror Worlds (preceded by the British Mirror Nationals). We are expecting 40 - 70 boats including entries from Australia, South Africa & Ireland. Competitors can expect Restronguet's legandary hospitality and will enjoy racing in the Carrick Roads - some of the best sailing waters in the world. The headline sponsor is
UK watersports performance clothing manufacturer Gul (who are based in Cornwall) with other UK companies supporting as well.
There is no requirement to qualify for the event, anybody can enter and sail, but the boat will need a valid measurement certificate (unmeasured boats can sail in the Nationals bronze fleet). As is normal at a major event, there will be an International Jury for the Worlds.
The event website is up and running here http://www.2017worlds.mirrorsailing.org and prospective competitors can register their interest and receive updates as the event organisation develops.
